4th Prestwood Brownies

As part of the TVAA badge, we had a fundraising evening. Ruth came along to talk the girls through a scenario then we unrolled our helicopter and covered it in coins!! £131.24 raised!

We had great fun completing our Challenge Badges and finished with a sponsored skipping event. Our Cubs raised an amazing £721.90. Well done everyone!

Chip Shop Chips & Air Ambulance… Not two phrases that are often seen together! However, on the 6th October at 6pm, 1st Aston Clinton Cubs (27 Cubs, 5 Leaders, 1 Young Leader, 5 Parent Helpers, 4 siblings and Nala the dog) set off at dusk and walked nearly 4 miles through Wendover woods on a sponsored Chip Shop walk to raise money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance. The reward for nearly a 4 mile walk…. a tray of hot chips and a big squirt of ketchup. The Cubs proudly raised £1005!

2nd Oxford Scout Group

So proud of our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts for raising £250 by completing our Smartie tube challenge. They collected 20p's by doing chores around the house. We then placed them on a specially drawn helicopter in the park in our 3 sections. Here is the Beaver Colony

We had so much fun doing the booklet and all the activities. Along with our challenge to raise £622! How many cold bake beans can you eat in 1 minute using a cocktail stick challenge! So much fun 😊

1st Amersham Common Beavers

Our Beavers are having great fun working towards this badge. We've had cuddly puppy bandaging and makeshift streatchers whilst working on their emergency aid badges before half term. Over half term some worked on fantastic posters to promote the service (one included a brilliant poem and another was very well researched) and they also collected pennies to make some 3D helicopter picture with. The group were delighted to be presented with their badges last week. Thanks TVAA and Bucks Scouts.

Holmer Green Beavers with their badges. They had lots of fun and learnt new skills while completing the challenge. The stretcher race resulting in learning bandaging skills. They had to treat the injuries their teddies receiced from falling off. They enjoyed eating all the marshmallows that they were sponsored to toast. The helmets made to protect an egg ended up being very messy when they were tested. There were some successful designs. Thank you to TVAA and Bucks Scouts for the opportunity.

1st Wolverton Beaver Section

We have had a great time completing our Level 1 Emergency aid and Level 1 Air activities. New skills have been learned including how to clean and dress a small cut and how to use the phonetic alphabet. To complete the challenge, we went on a sponsored walk around our local area, learning about the town's history and learning how to keep ourselves safe.

Our Beavers had such a good time working towards this challenge. We were still online at the time but found some great resources. The Beavers particularly liked the film on what the air ambulance does and how it works (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-FoFzXLMLs). We had a great time using our scarves as bandages and voting on the name of the TVAA Mascot, which was......RESCUE RED!! They created posters and put these in their windows to raise awareness of the fabulous work that you all do!

4th Crowthorne Brownies

Section 1 completed last night, despite the awful showers! We abandoned junk modelling in favour of Helicopter drawings and changed the car park into a Helicopter park. The Teddy Parachute challenge took off in a big way! 4th Crowthorne Brownies

1st Didcot Great Western Park Brownies

We had a fantastic evening completing the TVAA Challenge Pack. We challenged ourselves to cover the logo with coins and managed to raise £136.04! We did Danger Discovery in our meeting place, parachuted into Danger Zones to rescue our teddy bears made stretchers to get them to safety. A fantastic Challenge Pack.
